The boys weren't able to get home Monday. Their flight from Thunder Bay was cancelled due to the storm in Moncton (they're flying WestJet) so they ended up flying into Toronto and will overnight there, before trying again to fly in to Moncton on Tuesday, and then busing back to Freddy Beach.

Just talking to the V-Reds office. They will not be getting in now until tonight, Tuesday night, after having some difficulties rescheduling after their original flight was cancelled yesterday to Moncton thanks to the weather there.

How did you guys get back, Dave?

We flew Thunder Bay-Ottawa-Fredericton with about three hours to kill in Ottawa. Those from UNB who couldn't fit within the 35 seat bookings with WestJet (Thunder Bay-Moncton) flew on the same flight as us on Air Canada. We got in around 9:40 p.m. last night.

I read in the Gleaner this morning that when the boys got stranded in TO, they took the CIS cup and went down to the Hockey Hall of Fame. My request is this, if anyone knows any of the boys on the team, or coaches, lets find a way to post some pics of that one.

I wonder if that is the first time the CIS cup has ever been in the HHF. University hockey in Canada may be the "undiscovered secret" to many people, but there is no doubt in my mind that someday, University hockey will re recognized for its level of play, and value to the hockey legacy of this country.

LETS GO VREDS!!

The former University Cup is actually displayed at the HHOF as it was replaced in 2006, as well as some memorabilia from past CIS Championships. From what i hear they have a display of each years champions and the teams picture will actually be displayed there for a year with some of the players gear.
