Tremblay Leads V-Reds To Blowout Victory In Season Opener

The V-Reds scored early and often en route to a dominating 10-0 victory.  Hunter Tremblay lead the team by scoring 3 times and adding 2 assists, while John Scott Dickson added 2 goals and 2 assists.

Also scoring for the V-Reds were Dion Campbell (in a fantastic individual effort, trumped only by Hunter Tremblay moments later), Bretton Stamler with 2 goals, Luke Lynes, and Lachlan MacIntosh.

The final shots favoured UNB by a margin of 50-20.

Travis Fullerton was solid when called upon, including a timely save on a breakaway chance when the game was still close.

Bill Hunt provides more on the game in today's Daily Gleaner.

Great game last night for the VReds, after a slow first 10 minutes that is. I don't recall ever seeing any UNB team be able to control a game like this one can. Let's hope the trend continues tonight against Moncton. Think Yeomans will get the call?

I'm glad to see the AUC implemented my suggestion of hanging all the banners in some kind of organized way...looks way better now than it did..
