UNB Back In Action Tonight Vs UdeM

Game two of the regular season happens this evening when les Aigles Bleus visit the Aitken Centre.  Moncton brings a new coach, Serge Bourgeois, and reportedly a new, more aggressive forechecking style of game than last season.  Last evening they were defeated by the new and improved STU Tommies, but it should be noted they fired 48 shots in a losing cause and shouldn't be taken lightly.

In 2008-09, UNB went 3-1 vs Moncton, with 2 games going into OT and 3 of them being fairly close contests.  The teams have developed quite the rivalry in recent years dating back to the 2006-07 CIS gold medal game, and Moncton never takes the night off when they play the V-Reds.

This is the last home game until October 30th so make sure you make it to the AUC.  The game will be available on CHSR 97.9 FM, or on News-Cast.com ($5.95).

You may want to add a ($) followng to the News-Cast.com text as they are charging $5.95 a game.

UdeM should be hungry tonight given they almost had 50 shots on STU and lost. UdeM is the only team without a point.

Great to see DAL come back to tie SMU (watched the last period on SSN). A last second penalty for DAL resulted in a 4-3 going into OT which SMU converted. I'm sure Pete's happy with one point against SMU on openning night.

UPEI doesn't have a point...

I'll say. UPEI didn't play too badly in the first 10 minutes. Then it was like they shut it down. Or more aptly, had it shut down by a relentless UNB attack. Should be noted, though, that UPEI was missing four key guys.
