UNB@DAL - Saturday, Nov. 7th, 7pm

The V-Reds are back in action tonight as they visit the Dalhousie Tigers at the Dalhousie Memorial arena in Halifax. The CIS #1 ranked V-Reds sit at 7-0-0 going into Dalhousie, and look to make it 8-0-0.

The V-Reds are coming off an overtime 4-3 win over the StFX X-men whose goalie Bryan Gillis almost stole the game from UNB. Alex Aldred picked up his first goal of the year, 1:14 into overtime, to keep UNB’s winning streak alive. Hunter Tremblay is now tied for the lead in the CIS for points, while Luke Gallant sits all alone in third. The V-Reds lead the AUS in goals, assists, points, shots, shot percent, power-play percent, penalty killing, save percent, and goals allowed per game.

Dalhousie, off to a slow start this season, sits at 1-4-2. DAL lost last night 5-3 to the UPEI Panthers, and are looking to turn their luck around tonight. DAL has been averaging 3 goals per game, while allowing 4.67, DAL has been having some problems on the penalty kill, allowing 11 goals on 36 attempts, they will need to bolster that number when they face the AUS # 1 power play of the V-Reds. DAL are led by Kyle Raftis, Patrick Sweeney, Jeff Larsh, and J. Villeneuve-Gagne in the points department.

The V-Reds come into DAL with a 9 game winning streak against the Tigers whose last victory against the V-Reds was on Feb. 3rd, 2007.

The game will be available on CHSR 97.9 FM and SSN.

Hopefully, SSN will be better tonight. Should be a goal-fest (statistically speaking).

Let's hope so... on both ends. I was surprised to see Aldred in the line-up last night. Any word on his or Kidd's injury?

Harty is out too so Aldred will definitely be playing again tonight.
