SMU@UNB, Friday, Jan. 29th 7pm

The first of two big home games takes place tomorrow night as the CIS #1 Ranked UNB V-Reds (21-0-0) host the CIS #7 Ranked St. Mary’s Huskies (12-6-4) at the Aitken University center.

UNB is riding its perfect record and 11 media poll #1 rankings into this game, having already secured a first round bye, but looking to move towards locking up first over all for the regular season. After Captain Kyle Bailey’s 4 goal performance last Saturday, the fans will be looking to see if he can continue his goal scoring ways, and to see if Hunter Tremblay can continue his CIS leading point performance, which currently sits at 15 goals and 25 assists for 40 points in 21 games.

SMU comes into the game four points back of Acadia (15-4-2) for second place, and looking to make up some ground for that second quarter final bye position. Since the Christmas break, SMU has struggled somewhat, going 3-3-1. Wednesday night, they fell to Acadia 4-1, so they will be looking to get back in the win column again.

The game will be available on Rogers TV,, and can be followed on UNB Hockey on Twitter.
