STU@UNB - Battle of the Hill, part 169. Friday 7pm

Tomorrow night, the second half of the season kicks off for the V-Reds as the STU Tommies (4-8-2) arrive at the Aitken Centre to do battle with the CIS #1 ranked UNB V-Reds (15-0-0).

The previous two regular season meetings this year have been decided in overtime, what will happen this time?

The V-Reds are coming off a successful defense of the annual Pete Kelly Tournament where they defeated UofT 5-1 in their opening game, and then defeated UdeM 4-1 in the tournament final. Ben Shutron was named the tournament MVP as his ability to help set up goals was once again a major factor.

The Tommies took third in the tournament; they lost a hard fought battle 4-3 to UdeM in the opening game of the tournament, then bounced back the next day, defeating UofT 3-2 is a great consolation final game.

The game will be available on CHSR 97.9 and UNB Hockey on Twitter.

Btw, any one out there with questions they've been dying to ask Hunter Tremblay on the air?

We're planning to have him on CHSR for the second intermission of the broadcast, while trying to work around Coach who wants to put him to work selling hockey cards.

Hey Dave,

Ask Hunter about his views on OUA hockey vs. AUS hockey. Did he grow up watching it?

Maybe ask him why he initially chose UNB and why he still came here even after Andrew Marshall and Nick Plastino went elsewhere...

Yes - Hunter is out due to his Fighting Major against UdeM. He was originally going to sit-out the UMaine game.

You chaps are without doubt a bunch of Squirrels. Just finished reading some Tommies gossip and flipped over here to read yoours. Arrogant would be a good word to some you fellows up and STU would be pathetic.

Our Nova Scotia teams do not get the coverage that the NB teams seem to get. It may have an impact on recruiting, or not but UNB has quite the machine built. Wouldn't want to be STU living in the shadow of the squirrel giant. HAHAHA
