UNB@SMU Jan 15th, 7PM

Tomorrow night the CIS #1 ranked UNB V-Reds (17-0-0) begin what could be the most challenging weekend of the regular season as they face the CIS #7 Ranked St. Mary’s Huskies (10-3-4) at the Halifax Forum.

The V-Reds started the second half with two more victories, and have many fans wondering how long the streak will last. As Coach MacDougall points out there is only one goal, and that is a return to the Nationals later this spring.

SMU is 1-0-1 in the new year, having lost in OT to ACA and thoroughly thumping DAL 8-3. SMU is in a neck-and-neck race with the CIS #4 ranked Axemen and are looking to move into second place as they currently only sit one point back of the Axemen.

I thought it would be good to look at some head to head numbers after 17 games for each team. So here they are:

For any of you who may be travelling down to the game tonight, it is a Breast Cancer fundraiser game, and they are encouraging people to wear pink to support this worthy cause.

The game will be available on CHSR 97.9, UNB Hockey on Twitter and News-Cast.com.

Bumped into Harty this week. He's hoping to be in the line-up this weekend.
