UNB@STU, Sat. Jan 23rd, 7pm

Tonight, the CIS #1 ranked UNB V-Reds (20-0-0) do battle with the STU Tommies (7-11-2) in the 16th annual Lou Chabot Memorial Game.

Last night, the V-Reds battled the UdeM Aigles Bleus in Moncton, skating away with a 3-1 victory, with goals by John Scott Dickson, Hunter Tremblay, and Jordan Clendenning to maintain their undefeated streak this season in AUS play.

The Tommies won a wild game last night that saw 13 goals scored by the two teams, and with STU coming out on top 8-5. STU's line of Tyler Dietrich, Kenton Dulle, and Mike Reich combined for 13 points on the night. STU is battling for the sixth and final playoff spot, currently sitting one point behind the DAL Tigers for that final spot.

The game will be available on CHSR 97.9 and UNB Hockey on Twitter.

UNB is in need of a dominant offensive game...counting the Pete Kelly Cup and the Maine game they have scored more than 5 goals in a game only once in the last 9 games (6 against SMU last weekend)... and have been outshot in each of the last 4 games...

Although I agree with you, I think for the most part teams are playing UNB a lot differently than they were at the beginning of the year. SMU may be the one and only team that thinks they can skate with UNB and look what happened last weekend. STU knows that they can't get into a run-n-gun game with UNB or it's over. IMO, the only way that UNB will put up a big number tonight is if they get a couple early... that will force STU to open up.
