V-Reds Pummel Huskies 6-1

UNB sent a message to the SMU Huskies by scoring a convincing 6-1 victory at the Forum in Halifax.  After no goals were scored in the first, the V-Reds scored 5 goals in the second period. Kyle Bailey, Ben Shutron, Dion Campbell, Daine Todd, Jordan Clendenning, and Luke Lynes all scored for UNB.  Travis Fullerton was very strong in making 30 saves for the win.

Hunter Tremblay was on the wrong end of an illegal hit and left the game part way through the second period.  It didn't look too serious, but let's hope it was just precautionary and that he returns to the line-up soon.

I always thought that SMU was somewhat of a classy team but tonight was a completely different story. Looks good on them to get schooled the way they did tonight. Mike Danton should fit in fine with this squad.

So it turns out I shouldn't have worried about this game...I have no idea why SMU started Verge in this game after he struggled in his first game against UNB this year and Conway played solidly in the AUC
