People Trying to Break Down What Went Wrong

We've received a lot of emails and comments from disappointed V-Reds fans (and jubilated V-Reds bashers) about the meltdown that occurred this past week.  We love the comments, even the shots fired our way, but please keep the language clean.  Pretty much everyone agrees that it wasn't one single element that cost the team the series, but rather that the whole team found a way to play some of its worst hockey of the year at the worst possible time.

Bruce Hallihan probably sums it up as well as anyone can in today's Daily Gleaner

Yeah, I have a pretty good idea who these "jubilated V-Reds bashers" are.

Hint - they're not X fans.

tommies fans possibly? ;)

I'm not going to say they aren't STU fans but most probably aren't.

I think we know where the vast majority of negative fan bombs come from, don't we Squirrel fans? ;-)

Squirrel H8TR trash talks UNB on this site and cries like a little girl when his Tommies take it on the chin on the STU blog. The Tommies coaches are under fire over there and Squirrel feels they are all doing an excellent job by finishing last in male and 4th in female!!!

You got it Anon. All trash all the time. That's what I'm here to do!

You are one of the constant negative posters hiding and taking jabs at STU and UNB. Every thing at STU sucks and for the last several days every thing at UNB sucks. I'll tell you what sucks! It sucks to be you!

Hey squirrel...How do you know who I am and what I do. I'll tell you how, you and your nutty buddies over at STU reveal IP numbers. You have even given the location of certain people who post. The only thing squirrel about you is the size of your brain. And do you actually think that using a pen name is brave and revealing yourself to the public??

Yeah, Hallihan's article sums it up nicely. I really thought that it was a mistake to let Hodgy go at the time. They definitely missed him in this series. Hopefully they get a power forward to replace him, not to mention Dickson. Still no excuses. This team had too much talent to lose like that. Credit to X for playing such a disciplined defensive game.

Oh, and it is painfully obvious the UNB bashers on the other thread are STU fans. No one else in the league talks about "$quirrels" and how UNB buys championships.....etc

I'm from Nova Scotia and have no use for UNB and have posted you buy championships and players. Evryone in AUS hockey knows this. Squirrels, if the shoe fits...

If that is indeed what UNB is doing it is better than buying players and not winning championships like some teams do year after year after year...no??

Anon at 12:26, my "pen name" and real name are well known to the people who run this site and many who read. The only thing I am hiding is my true identity to idiots like you.

I'll take it from your post that in fact you are one of ???? UNB fans that post at the Stutommies.com and stir the pot, make believe you are a STU fan to cause a disturbance, and act like an all around jerk. Funny how when the shoe is on the other foot UNB fans find it offensive????????

If there is some STU fans "bombing" on here, stop it!! Let the Squirrel fans pick themselves apart and then blame us anyways. Seems to be a vogue thing to do.

well,at least UNB has a desent barn to play in.from what ive seen, the rest of you bums have nothing more then an outside rink or pond.and as far as attendence goes, the only time i see fans at other games is when there doing well, which isnt much.STU maybe should become UNBs farm team,if there even good for that....

I think I know who you are as well, Mr. Squirrel. I have a bird-feeder and I see you sticking your furry head into the feeder to steal away from the birds. No matter how you dress it up, a rodent is a rodent. An irritating rodent at that.

:-) I think we can both agree with that statement. Well said. :-)

Only STU fans refer to UNB fans as "squirrels" and make the accusations about "buying championships."

With regards to the latter accusation no evidence has ever been posted.

hey squirrel,

I used to be a fan of STU and UNB... but I turned into a hockey fan in general. Do you think STU will get a hockey team any time soon?

To Rob,

I was talking to a very adamant UNB fan who goes to many STU games as well. He was telling me and I think several other people that frequent this blog that the SFX players were teasing Tyler Dietrich during a game by calling him a lousy former squirrel. So while they may have been at STUs barn they certainly weren’t STU fans. That from an UNB fan.

About the buying championship thing, I think it is foolish. Whatever UNB is doing so is everyone else and vice versa. There is some idiot on the Tommies blog that keeps whining about money (I always think it is a UNB fan, maybe it isn’t, who knows?) and I always wish the UNB fans would speak up against it. If one is innocent, they all are, or it is the other way around. Personally I don’t think it should be an issue.
