The NCAA's Providence College Friars are coming to UNB. Last year it was announced that the two programs had entered into a 3-year partnership that would include a trip to Frederiction this year, and now the Friars official website is confirming that they will be visiting the AUC for a pair of games this January 1st and 2nd.
Last season, the V-Reds won the first exhibition game of the series by a score of 6-3 in Providence.

That's great news! Can't wait to hear Keith sing the US Anthem.
Apparently the New Hampshire (UNH) tentative schedule has them hosting UNB on Saturday, October 2.
Btw, I was a bit surprised to see that Maine is not scheduled to play UNB next season. Acadia is in Orono on October 3.
However I do remember Gardiner once mentioning that Acadia badly wanted to play Maine, and if they accommodated them there would be no opening for UNB.
So much for the "annual game".
I think we've been pretty luckey of late to play Maine as much as we do. An annual game is nice, but varity is good - means we can play someone else.
