2010-2011 AUS Men's Hockey Schedule Released

In case you missed it from UNBHockey on Twitter, the AUS has released the regular season schedule for men's hockey.  The UNB schedule begins October 15th at UPEI, with the first home game October 22nd vs Dalhousie.  The final game of the regular season takes place at Dalhousie February 12th.

Most fans will be pleased to see there's no Halloween or Valentine's Day games for UNB this year.  At the time of this posting, the November 21st game vs STU is absent from UNB schedule, but there will be 28 games.  Exhibition games are usually announced by the schools later in the summer.

STU vs. UNB right off the hop in the first weekend. Should set the tone for a great AUS season, as well for the V-Reds.

Who cares....STUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID.

Practicing against the High School team isn't going to help us.

GO V-REDS!!

You mean the high school team who, outside of X, played UNB the tightest of any team in the conference last season??

Lee and Wright

I just noticed Jeff Lee and Ben Wright are not listed on the roster on the V-Reds web site. Anyone know if this is something we should be concerned about?

I honestly don't think their names were on the website to begin with. If you notice J.S is still on there so I don't think it's been updated.. I have not heard that they were not coming back..

That's what I figured as well...especially considering they were the last two players added to the team last year...

I can't say I like the openning weekend. PEI played UNB tough at home then they have to drive back after that game to play STU down the hill the next night (also tough games).

I'll give STU some credit for playing UNB tough, but they still lost, but this a new season and they could easily start 0-2.

The end of the season is tough - 6 of 7 on the road with the home game againts STU, on a Wednesday, bookended by X/SMU and ACA/DAL.

On other notes, I see Dal is having a football team next year.I wonder if that will pressure UNB to reconsider it as a varsity sport.

The 24 hour relay was well represented by UNB females. STU likewise, but they have no website to acknowledge their girls.
Rather than put this on the hockey site, is there an athletic site for posting UNB news?

With Ryan Seymour getting accepted into Law do you think he will be able to continue playing hockey? Congratulations Ryan!!

Yes - Ryan can play next year. I believe he has one year left.

Dal Alumni are looking into a 'club' Football team next year, not an AUS Vatsity team. They are considering entering the AFL-Atlantic Footbal League, the same league that UNB-F, UNB-SJ and Moncton Jr Raiders are in. If Dal and PEI enter it would grow to 5.
