In Pursuit...

Hunter Tremblay will have a chance to take sole possession of #1 on the list of all-time UNB scoring leaders. As the 2010-2011 season begins, Hunter Tremblay is tied for 3rd with Toby Burkitt with 157 regular season, points, only one point behind Dax MacLean for second place on the all-time UNB regular-season scoring list. A few years back we all watched as Rob Hennigar passed Dax MacLean, now Tremblay will have an opportunity to do the same to his former linemate.  Tremblay needs to score 20 regular season points to take over the regular season scoring record, and 40 points to take over the total UNB scoring record (combined regular season, playoffs, and Nationals).

We'll track his progress here each week.  Feel free to guess if or when Hunter will accomplish this feat in the comments below.  This link will take to a page that provides a breakdown of some key scoring stats, including the points remaining as #7 chases #1.

With this much Talent, Heart and Sheer passion for the game of hockey this kid is going to be electric to watch one day in the national hockey league. After this year when he becomes UNB's all time scoring leader and helps carry the team to another CIS championship, some franchise with be winning the lottery when they sign this game changer to a pro contract in the spring.

i was talking to a scout from the rangers who was at the aitken center to see Trembly last friday night and he said size is a bit of a factor for Tremblay but in the right situation he could play a top six forward position in the NHL, there was also a scout from the Leafs watching him.
