The first period had no flow, as there was a slew of penalties to both teams. The second period was better, and I thought UNB started to take control. In the third period, Vermont started a new goalie, while UNB was in total control. MacNeil tipped in a high and hard point shot from Gallant, about his third in a row. The video-reviewed the goal -- maybe they thought MacNeil's stick might have been too high?

The Hepditch goal came when he hammered a juicy rebound into the right side of the net. It looked like UNB would cruise to the win, until Gallant took a penalty trying to slow up a rare UVM rush in the last 2 minutes. Then UVM pulled their goalie to make it 6 on 4, and Culligan scored the shorthanded emptynetter when Bailey unselfishly slid the puck over to him. With around 30 seconds to go, UVM scored on the powerplay. Couldn't tell how the goal happened on the webcast, but Andrew tweeted that it was a back door play. Then with less than 5 seconds left, a point shot went through a screen and fooled Yeomans.

UVM used three goalies. The starter went 40 minutes. 2nd goalie started third period, and then 3rd string goalie played last 7 or 8 minutes of game.
