One For the Record Books, UNB Wins 4-0

Goals by Dion Campbell, Spencer Corcoran, Ben Wright and Jordan Clendenning would provide all the offence needed to beat Moncton by a 4-0 margin.  Travis Fullerton picked up his league leading third shutout of the season, stopping 11 shots, including a few acrobatic saves.

The story on this night will be the assist on the Clendenning goal by one Hunter Tremblay.  With that point, Tremblay takes over sole possession of first place on the all-time UNB regular season points list, passing former teammate, Rob Hennigar.  Congrats, Hunter!

The V-Reds will head into the break in first place in the AUS with 22 points at 11-4.  The next game will be vs. McGill on December 30th.

This was a good game. A truly 'up for grabs' game as the zero zero til the third and both ends of the rink play indicate. The shots were a wide margin but a goal by Moncton first was a concern.
Two factors made for a UNB win. Goaltending was one. Fullerton was a big part of the win. Being ready is a challenge with UNB goalies the last few years. The other factor was UNB keeping up their effort and composure. No let downs in their own end allowed the scoreless game to proceed until UNB got the first marker.
