UNB @UdeM, tonight!

The CIS #1 V-Reds (13-4-0) travel down to do battle with the AUS #7 UdeM Aigles Bleus (5-10-2) tonight at the J-Lous-Levesque arena at 7pm. This is the final regular season meeting between these two teams, with the V-Reds having won the previous three meetings 4-0, 3-1, and 4-0.

The V-Reds, having been voted the #1 team in the CIS for this first time this season in the last media poll, hold a one point lead over the CIS #4 SMU Huskies (12-4-1) and will look to maintain that lead tonight. Hunter Tremblay is coming off of a 5 point weekend, while Chirs Culligan leads UNB's offence against UdeM this year with 4 points (1G 3A). Travis Fullerton has not allowed any UdeM player to put a puck past him this year, shutting them out on his last two starts against them.

UdeM is trying to turn around a seven game losing streak, and to hunt for the sixth and final playoff spot in the AUS this year. UdeM has acquired three new players since last term with the addition of Eric Faille, Maxime Pilon, and Alexandre Quesnel. UdeM is led in scoring by Dean Ouellet and Kevin Charland with 16 and 12 points respectively.

There is a live feed of the game that can be viewed here; the game can be heard on CHSR 97.9 radio, and can be followed on UNBHockey on Twitter.

Daine Todd, Jeff Lee and Josh Hepditch all skated at practice mid-week. It will be interesting to see if any of them make it into the lineup this weekend.
