V-Reds Clobber Tigers In 5-0 Win

Powered by five different goal scorers, UNB cruised to a dominant 5-0 victory over the Dalhousie Tigers. Jonathan Harty, Matt Fillier, Jordan Clendenning, Josh Kidd, and Ryan Seymour scored the goals for the V-Reds, while Travis Fullerton stopped 17 shots to earn his league leading 4th shut-out of the season.  It's been awhile since a UNB goalie recorded 4 shut-outs in one season, and Fullerton beat his personal best of 3 shut-outs back in his 2008-09 rookie season with the fourth one tonight.

Shots were 32-17 for the Varsity Reds.  Luke Gallant made his return to the line-up after missing several games.  Kyle Bailey was knocked out of the game midway through the first period with what looked to be an elbow to the head.  No penalty was called on the play.  Hopefully it's nothing serious and he can return to the ice soon.

UNB hosts the Acadia Axemen in what's sure to be a spirited competition tomorrow night.
