V-Reds Host UPEI Tonight

The UPEI Panthers will be visiting the V-Reds this evening at 7PM at the AUC.  The Panthers will be looking to rebound from their 7-1 trouncing at the hands of the STU Tommies last night.  UNB is carrying a streak of 4 consecutive regular season home games without giving up a goal, but that is sure to be put to the test early as the Panthers have been scoring goals as much as any team in the AUC this season.

UPEI  has been one of this season's surprises.  Matt Carter is leading the Panthers offence, and the overall AUS scoring race, with 16 goals and 33 points in 18 games this season.  He's followed closely by Cory Vitarelli's 13 goals and 28 points.  Goalie Jhase Sniderman has been stingy in net, posting a 2.99 GAA and save percentage of .905.

The series has been split so far.  UPEI surprised the V-Reds by a score of 4-2 back on October 15th, but UNB returned the favour 2 weeks later with a 4-1 win at the Aitken Centre.

Expect a full house tonight as hundreds of students from district 18 attend the game.  Tonight's game can be viewed as a webcast on the SSN network, listened to on CHSR radio, and followed on UNBHockey on Twitter.
