V-Reds to Launch video system during the Mark Jeffrey Game February 9th

During the 20th anniversary of the Mark Jeffrey Memorial game, the Varsity Reds will be one of the first CIS schools to launch an in-rink video system. A legacy item for the upcoming CIS Nationals will feature Two 13'x10' screens mounted on the West end of the Aitken Centre.  Similar to the scoreboard installed in 2003, this system is meant to leave a lasting legacy on the UNB Hockey program and the Aitken Centre.

Head of the CIS Nationals Steering Committee Roger Shannon had this to say about the new addition to the rink "This will take the game experience of a UNB Hockey game to a whole new level, we've had a on-ice product for years, and now in addition to all of the game-day activities Dave Morell and his crew have  added it will be a real treat for our fans to come to the rink.  With the addition of our mascot Prospect and this video system coming to a UNB Hockey game will be more the just a game, it will be a great event and will truly leave a legacy on the UNB Hockey program." "Doug Bearisto, Andrew Brewer and all the staff at UNB have done an amazing job in designing this system and will be working hard right up until puck drop to put the final touches on this system, I think fans will be amazed when they walk into the Aitken Centre and see the transformation that has taken place in the last few weeks."

The V-Red Nation is excited to see these screens in action and will be encouraging fans to Make Some Noise when they are unveiled next week!!

I wonder if there would be any way to rig the screens up so that they can show highlights from other games going on (provided they are being webcast on news-cast, SSN, Aliant, etc.)...that would be pretty sweet.
