V-Reds visit Huskies tonight!

The UNB V-Reds (20-4-0) visit the SMU Huskies (15-9-1) tonight at 7pm at the Halifax Forum. This is the fourth meeting of the regular season between these two teams. UNB won the first game 5-2, while the Huskies took the second game 3-1, the third game saw UNB prevail 4-1. In the last decade, the V-Reds hold a slim one game margin over the Huskies with a record of 20-17-2 in the regular season.

The Huskies (15-9-1) are coming off of a convincing 6-3 victory over the UPEI Panthers (12-9-3) and have claimed sole possession of second place in the AUS with the victory. The Huskies are led in scoring by Andrew Hotham with 32 points and Cam Fergus with 30 points.

The V-Reds (20-4-0) are coming off of a hard fought 2-1 victory over the StFX X-Men (14-10-1) and are currently on a 10 game winning streak. Lachlan MacIntosh has found the back of the SMU net four times this season, more than any other V-Red, while Kyle Bailey has helped set up four of UNB’s ten goals against SMU this season. Hunter Tremblay is only two points back of Rob Hennigar for the All-time points mark (212) as a UNB player.
