V-Reds visit X-Men tonight!

The AUS and CIS #1 ranked UNB V-Reds (19-4-0) visit the AUS #2 StFX X-Men (14-9-1) tonight at 7pm at the Keating Millenium Center in Antigonish. This is the final regular season meeting between these two teams; the V-Reds took the previous three meetings 6-2, 6-1, and 4-1.

Tonight's battle will see the best Power Play in the AUS (StFX 23.6%) take on the best Penalty Kill in the AUS (UNB 90.2%).

The V-Reds are on a nine game winning streak, having clinched first place in the AUS last weekend. Chris Culligan, with 8 pts (5G 3A) against StFX this year, has more goals than all the members of StFX have combined to score against UNB. Hunter Tremblay, coming off of a 6 pt (5G 1A) weekend, is now only two points back of Rob Hennigar for the All-time points mark (212) as a UNB player. The X-Men are on a three game winning streak and in a battle with SMU (14-9-1) for the second spot in the AUS rankings, and a first round bye in the playoffs. Joseph Perricone, the StFX goalie, is coming off of three wins in a four night span where he only allowed three goals on 81 shots. Bryce Swan, who leads the team in points, is coming off of a hat trick in their last game.

The game can be viewed as a webcast on the SSN Network, and can be heard on CHSR radio.

I know you can't trust the CHSR schedule anymore, but we ARE broadcasting tonight's game at "X" and tomorrow's at SMU.

Side Note: Boyce picked up another goal in the Leafs' win last night. He also picked up a nasty face injury after hitting the photographer's hole in the glass. He's been posting pictures on twitter, and become a trending topic in the GTA. WARNING: Not for the squeamish. It's quite gross:
