Game 3 of the AUS finals, TONIGHT!

Tonight, the V-Reds travel to Antigonish to take on the X-Men in game three of the AUS final at 7pm. The series, now tied at 1-1, comes down to a best of three now, with two games in the X-Men's arena, on their ice, with their fans. A win tonight will give either team a commanding lead in this series.

The V-Reds and X-Men have put on a great series thus far, going into OT in both previous games and giving fans lots of highlight shots and saves at both ends of the ice.

The game can be seen be seen as a webcast on the SSN network, listened to on CHSR Radio, and followed on UNBHockey on Twitter.

Tonights game is huge, and the biggest key for the Reds is they need to score the first goal of the game, this forces St FX to need to score. St FX has had the luxury of playing the Trap in both games so far cause they scored first. It is also the way the 4 games finsihing the season ended for the VReds Last year, UNB couldnt take the Lead and St FX stuck to their system.

1st Goal tonight wins the game, and Ill go on a limb will win the Series.

I see the new Top 10 is out... is this the last week of voting or do they vote next week as well?

Dave would know if they vote next week, but he's on the road to X.

I believe they vote, but the results are not published - instead they are provided to the tournament committee for seeding (which occurs on Sunday, I think - waiting to Tuesday morning would be too late).

The first goal is big, but not the biggest factor - burying their chances is bigger. This X team isn't as good as last year's in playing the Trap. UNB had lots of 'prime' chances in game #2 and didn't convert (3 breakaways & 2 posts). Had they made any of these - they would have won 2-1 or 3-1. As Eric Thurston said of UNB, in Thunder Bay, 'we made some mistakes and good teams make you pay and they made us pay'.

MacIntosh, Clendenning, Campbell and Lee need to get some points - they're all at zero.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this...in the pregame warm-up before game 2, #42 McKenna was on the ice and not participating in the warm-up but instead was shooting pucks off the glass in front of the penalty box trying to hit Corcoran as he stood in line to do the drills. He did not play in the game.

There will be another Top 10 vote, the last, immediately after the deciding game in this series.

You forgot Jeff Lee being referred to as Mark Lee. Personally, I loved the Todd Daine.

Tried to sync things up but no luck. Would have preferred to (be there) watch the game and listen to the Daves! The announcer is good - too bad he isn't a better reader.
