Hunter Tremblay Signs With Oilers

Congratulations to V-Reds forward Hunter Tremblay who has signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Edmonton Oilers.  Not much needs to be said about #7's stay at UNB, all-time leader in points, two time CIS Champion,  and a treat to watch for the past 4 years.

Oilers Press Release

Update: Bill Hunt has more on Tremblay in Friday's edition of The Daily Gleaner.

I am a little surprised that he signed a contract that was for only 1 year but I certainly wish Hunter nothing but the best of luck!

$10 to watch this young man perform for the last 4 years has been amazing and a treat to any hockey fan

Unfortunately nothing is forever except for the quality of hockey player this young man is

what is admirable is he had his chances to go pro, but decided to play out his degree and try to win a title here. That is what it should be all about.

He has nothing left to prove here - all the best in future!

Hunter, you're the best player I've ever seen wear a UNB jersey. I'd love to see you come back for your 5th year but realize that's asking too much. Best of luck in the future, both in hockey and life.

I'm honestly a little bummed to see him go as I just started following the team this year and only got to watch him for one season, but am very glad to see him move on, and am glad I was fortunate enough to watch him play - even if it was only a season.
Like another post said, he has nothing left to prove here and its time to move on.
Best of luck Hunter! This might make me watch some NHL games for once!

Sheesh! What a quality guy. Smart, hard worker, hard on the puck, go anywhere and good speed, sense and shot. Boyce had some good stuff and big plans and made it with a lot of effort!
Yes it was a treat to see his game. What fun to be here in Fredericton and have this Reds team.
