Reds in the finals after 4-0 win vs Western

In an exciting must win game, the Varsity Reds prevailed by a 4-0 margin.  Culligan, Bailey, Gallant, and Tremblay scored for UNB.

The VReds will play McGill tomorrow evening to determine the CIS championship.

More to follow.

Can't ask for anything more in the win over Western!
Giving up 11 powerplays is a major concern against a Mcgill a team that went 3/6 against Alberta.

Could somebody please tell me what happened in the warm-up? They kept talking about it on ttvvv

Harty just chirping a couple guys...he hammered them his first shift out too...haha He was everywhere tonight.

Side note, Desnoyers literally sucks. I'd rather see Hep on D with Corcoran up front checking...

just want all the UNB fans in on something....when Queens Gaels played McGill in football, it was known as the "Kill McGill" game.....bring signs accordingly tomorrow night with those words

Poorest reffing I saw in a long time both ways. Treated it like a ringuette game.

Western seemed to complain to refs all game, despite UNB piling up penalties. Is that their reputation?

Harty, Bailey and Culligan best players on ice by far.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I know that even Thayer Doyle and Scott Lockhart wouldn't of called some of those penalties last night and they are possible the two worst refs for having their whistle in their mouth all game. Some of the calls especially on Wright in third period and the call on Kidd's kneeing and interference and also Culligans interference were absolutely terrible. Hopefully we don't see those two refs tonight and the two who do ref the game let the two's go at it for their biggest game of the year.

the refs were brutal but more so the one guy, same guy who had a beef with UNB in game 5 with ST FX in the AUS Final
