Nick Layton Signs WIth Mudbugs of CHL

The rumours floating around the Aitken Centre last weekend proved to be true.  Nick Layton has signed an amateur-tryout contract with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudugs of the CHL, which has been a popular destination for V-Reds over the years.  According to the link, he made his debut last night.

Layton had become a regular in the lineup this year, working his way into 24 of 28 games where he put up 1 goal and 5 assists, and played a solid checking role for the team.  Best of luck to Nick in his future endeavours.

Nick Layton must be enjoying his playoff experience in the CHL. In 15 playoff games so far he has 4 goals and 8 assists and is a plus 12. His success points to the depth of this year's UNB team.

Nick has a chance of winning a third championship in the same season.

Keep up your fine play, Nick!
