UdeM prepares for the V-Reds

To get a perspective on how the "other guys" look at UNB as a challenge, check out the article in the Times and Transcript today about how UdeM sees the challenge that the V-Reds bring to their rink.

What do you guys think will be the outcome of tonight's game? Moncton is a short drive, if you can make it down for the game, come join us and cheer on your CIS #1 ranked V-Reds!

Everyone should tune in for this game - should be good.

Heard some rumors that there will be some line-up changes for UNB - might see Chad Denny? It would be pretty crazy with him and Kidd or Gallant on the blue line - don't think anyone's going to block his shot (at least not twice).

This would be a good game for Salituro & Houde-Caron to be in.

I wish the team would comment on LaCosta - it was supposed to be 'just a tweak' to his groin muscle. We basically only have one goalie right now (scary).

UNB just added former STU goalie Matt Davis (from Harvey Station / Hanwell) to the roster. He's in the MBA program at UNB.

Chad Denny is also now on the official roster and eligible to play tonight.

Not a bad guy to have as a 3rd goalie...although how much hockey has he played since finishing at STU? Did he play any senior?

I think Houde-Caron has proven that he should be in the lineup for pretty much every game. I have been very impressed with him thus far.

Davis gets start. Last CIS game in 08-09 i believe. Quite a development!

I'm interested why they are going with Davis tonight, on the road against a tough team...tomorrow would have made more sense IMO. Unless Fullerton is ailing as well??

The rumor is Travis is 'ailing'.

Now, is Travis the backup tonight or are they using a 4th string?

Fullerton had an emergency appendectomy this morning I guess...per Kilfoil's twitter. He isn't dressed tonight, obviously. No idea how long it takes to recover from one of those. Thank god this team only gives up 20 shots/game.

Also, I didn't notice/hear Shutron's name in the first period. Wonder if he is scratched as well.

Seamus Bowen is dressed as the backup...so UNB has already dressed 5 goalies for a game this season.

MacNeil also back in the lineup.

Shutron sitting out second game of suspension for that fighting instigator call.

Fulleraton has a picture of himself in the hospital.
Hope LaCosta is better soon!
Davis is in nets tonight but what happened to the backup goalie from last week?

Why does the guy running the camera on the webcast suck so bad?

Moncton certainly uses their speed on the long stretch passes but I would be concerned as a Moncton fan with their undisciplined play.

at least you have video - missed the first two periods from the store due to buffer lag (and it's Aliant DSL).

Finally saw some of the 3rd at home (Rogers).

Quality wasn't that good - SSN is better.

So the shots were 30-8 after 2 but ended up 41-28...so UdeM had 20 shots in the 3rd? That can't be right, can it?? They certainly looked much more dangerous and had more chances in the 3rd, but I wouldn't say they had 20 shots.

The shot counters did seem generous in the third towards Moncton, but they did get a lot of shots on the PP
