2311 fans came out tonight for game one the 7th annual Pete Kelly cup as the V-Reds hosted the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
Geordie Wudrick made his debut, wearing the #18 jersey last worn by Rob Pearce, let's hope he can bring home a cup just like Pearce did.
The first period saw three V-Reds goals as Gallant, Harty and Houde-Carron each scored. Shots were 11 each after the first.
The second period saw more of the same, as Nesbitt and Culligan each scored to make it 5-0. Shots after 2 were 20-20 for UNB.
The third period started the same, as MacNeil scored on the power play to make it 6-0, but then there was a shift in momentum as the Gee-Gees pushed more and more, forcing UNB to take several penalties, Ottawa scored two quick goals, only for Culligan to score again to make it 7-2. Ottawa would score two more before the end of the period to make the final score 7-4 for UNB. Final shots were 33-31 for UNB.
Game two goes tomorrow at 1pm at the AUC.

full credit to Ottawa they played well and they have a good team. UNB was sloppy and obviously played with alot of booze in Turkey swishing around in their bellys
Expect a much better UNB Effort Today
