AUS Approves 2 Rule Changes For Men's Hockey

We hope you all are enjoying the off-season and watching lots of all the other hockey that's still be played. To that effect, congratulations to the Saint John Sea Dogs on capturing New Brunswick's first Memorial Cup.

Thanks to @UNBHockey for pointing out 2 new rule changes coming to the AUS this upcoming season. First, there'll be a new icing rule this season that mirror's the NHL's. The new icing rule will prevent the perpetrating team from making a line change after the whistle.  Expect teams defending the narrow lead or playing hang-on hockey to be affected by this one.  Second, half of the regular season games and all playoff games will now be officiated by 2 referees.  Let the controversy begin.

Here's the official AUS press release.
