AUS Update

UPDATE: The Chronicle Herald has the nightly wrap-up, The Guardian has the UPEI/Acadia story, and hockeyscene.com has a recap for the STU/St. FX and SMU/UdeM games.

In other AUS action tonight it was Saint Mary's beating Moncton 5-0, St. Thomas getting a much needed victory with a 2-1 shootout win over St. FX, and UPEI getting by Acadia 4-3 in OT.

There continues to be a logjam at the top of the AUS standings as things are tighter than they may have ever been at this point of the season. UNB leads the way with 34 points in 23 games and are closely followed by Moncton (32 points in 23 games), Saint Mary's and Acadia (both with 32 points in 24 games), and UPEI (30 points in 23 games).

The race for the 6th and final playoff spot is also wide open. St. FX (16 in 23) has the edge for now but both Dalhousie (15 in 23) and STU (12 in 23) are very much in the mix with only two weeks left in the regular season.
