V-Reds At Moncton Tonight


The V-Reds hit the road to UdeM tonight to take on the 3rd place Aigles Bleus.

Last Meeting – On November 20th, the V-Reds hosted the Aigles Bleues who were on a four game winning streak while the V-Reds had lost their last two games and were looking to turn things around. UdeM would strike first, but it was the V-Reds who would prevail 2-1, outshooting the Aigles Bleues 44-16. Thomas Nesbitt set up the tying goal, and scored the winning goal that night.

Number 3 hosts number 1 – UdeM (13-6-0) is ranked third in the AUS, and also ranked seventh in the Nation. UdeM is 6-3-0 at home this year, while the V-Reds  are 6-2-2 on the road in the regular season.

Head-to-Head – This is the third meeting of the year between these two teams, the first two games went to the V-Reds, with scores of 6-3 and 2-1. The V-Reds have outshot UdeM 75-44 in those two previous games. The V-Reds have won the last 12 meetings between these two teams. The last time UdeM defeated the V-Reds was January 16, 2009, with a score of 3-2 in overtime.

Who to Watch for on UdeM – Francis Rochon has scored two goals, and set up another against the V-Reds this season, while Simon LaCroix has set up two goals this season again the V-Reds. UdeM is led in scoring by Dean Ouellet (5G 19A) and Marc-Andre Cote (10G 9A).

Who to Watch for on UNB – Kyle Bailey had scored three times against the Aigles Bleues this season, and has set up another. Thomas Nesbitt has a goal and two assists this season against the Aigles Bleues. The V-Reds are led in scoring by Kyle Bailey (12G 11A) and Chris Culligan (6G 13A).
