Top Ten (#13): V-Reds Remain 2nd, New #1

The University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds remained in second place in the latest CIS Top Ten poll, released Tuesday. The V-Reds, who collected three out of a possible four points over the weekend, received 4 out of 17 first place votes (the same as last week) and 143 points (down from 150).

There was a shake-up at the top for the 2nd time in three weeks as the University of Western Ontario Mustangs moved from third to first, switching places with the McGill Redmen, who had held the top spot for the last two weeks. This is the first time the Mustangs have been ranked number one since the final poll of their historic 2001-02 season, a campaign in which they went 22-0-2 in conference play and won their only national championship.

Saint Mary's (6th), UdeM (7th), and UPEI (8th) also made the top ten with Acadia (11th) just missing out.
