MacNeil And Critchlow To Attend Summer Camps

Varsity Red forwards Nick MacNeil and Cameron Critchlow have both been invited to NHL summer development camps that will be taking place this week.

MacNeil, a 6'4", 225 pound native of Creignish, Nova Scotia, has been invited to the Phoneix Coyotes camp, which runs from today until Saturday in Scottsdale, Arizona. MacNeil has posted 17 and 12 points, respectively, in his first two season at UNB. He has previously attended the St. Louis Blues training camp in September of 2010 just prior to joining the V-Reds. Said head coach Gardiner MacDougall:
"This is an excellent opportunity for Nick to showcase his skills for the Phoenix organization. He has been one of our most improved players the past two seasons and this will definitely give him a performance gauge to continue this improvement for his upcoming third year with our team."
Critchlow, who was recently announced as UNB's first recruit for next season, will be heading to Edmonton later in the week to participate at the Oilers camp.
