Fullerton Signs With Bulls

UPDATE: Fullerton made his debut last night, holding the Idaho Steelheads scoreless during regulation before eventually losing 1-0 in OT.

Former University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds goaltender Travis Fullerton has signed an amateur try-out (ATO) with the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL, according to Britney Milazzo of the Bleacher Report.

Fullerton, who just completed his 5th year of eligibility, will leave as undoubtedly the greatest goalie in school history. He finished his UNB career with a regular season record of 60-11-2 to go along with a school record 14 shutouts, a save percentage of 0.911, and a goals against average of 1.87. He also led the V-Reds to AUS Championships in 2011 and 2012 while backing up Dan LaCosta this season as UNB won their 3rd consecutive conference crown. Of course, he back-stopped the Varsity Reds to University Cup titles in both 2009 and 2011, running his record at Nationals to 7-0 before finally suffering a loss to Western Ontario in 2012. Fullerton backed up LaCosta this season as he won his 3rd career National Championship.
