Culligan Signs ATO With Texas Stars

University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds captain Chris Culligan has signed an amateur tryout contract with the Texas Stars, the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, the club announced this past Tuesday.

Culligan, who finished his UNB career as the school's 2nd all-time leading scorer (conference + playoffs + Nationals) with 63 goals and 150 assists, played his first game for Texas on Tuesday night, wearing #37 and playing on a line with former V-Red Kevin Henderson. The Stars would lose the game 3-1, dropping their record to 36-17-3-5 on the season, as Culligan registered 1 shot on goal, hit a post, and was a -1 on the night.
