Game 1 Redux

For the 2nd time in the series the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds controlled the majority of play, were continuously foiled by a hot goaltender, and then watched as a depleted Saint Mary's Huskies squad scored a goal early into double overtime to win 2-1.

For UNB fans, this series is undoubtedly starting to feel eerily similar to the 3 game sweep at teh hand of St. FX in 2010. The Huskies now hold a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-5 semi-final series and push the V-Reds to the brink of elimination for the first time in 4 years. UNB will look to push the series to a 5th and deciding game tomorrow night when the two team's battle in game 4 back at the Halifax Forum.
