CIS Top Ten (#13): Top Three Unchanged

For the 4th consecutive week the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds are ranked 2nd in the country, according to the latest CIS men's hockey rankings released yesterday.

Despite going 3-0-0 this past week, including quality wins over Saint Mary's and St. FX, the V-Reds did not gain any ground on the defending champion Alberta Golden Bears, who are ranked number one for the 13th time in as many polls this year. Alberta once again received all 16 first place votes with UNB garnering all 16 2nd place nods.

Acadia (#3) and Saint Mary's (#7) were the other AUS teams to make the rankings, with St. FX also receiving votes.

UNB and Acadia, who fell 4-3 in OT to Saint Mary's this evening, will clash in a big match-up on Saturday night in Wolfville. The V-Reds currently own a two point lead over the Axemen in the race for the top spot in the conference.
