CIS Top Ten (#11): Little Change In Rankings

The latest edition of the CIS men's hockey rankings - released yesterday - produced little movement from last week with the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds, who clinched a playoff spot last night thanks to Acadia's 5-2 victory over Dalhousie, staying put in 4th place.

The Axemen maintained the number one spot while the Saskatchewan Huskies changed spots with the McGill Redmen to take over 2nd. After that the next six teams - UNB, UQTR, Alberta, St. FX, Mount Royal, and Carelton - all remained unchanged. The Western Mustangs rounded out the top ten with their first appearance in the rankings since mid-November.

The Saint Mary's Huskies (12th) were the only other AUS team to receive votes.

The V-Reds are back on the road this weekend for a pair of massive games. They travel to Halifax to play the Huskies on Friday night before heading to Wolfville for a date with the Acadia Axemen on Saturday night. Game time is 7PM and can be viewed live at AUStv.ca
