CIS Top Ten (#14): UNB Back In 1st

As expected, the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds have regained the #1 ranking in the latest CIS men's hockey national rankings released earlier today. Following impressive victories over the Saint Mary`s Huskies and Acadia Axemen, the V-Reds earned 14 out of a possible 15 first place nods -  and 149 points total - to move into the top spot for the first time since November 10th.

The UQTR Patriotes earned the other 1st place vote to move up to 2nd, ahead of the Saskatchewan Huskies, Acadia Axemen, and Alberta Golden Bears.

St. FX (8th) and Saint Mary`s (10th) were the only other AUS teams to make the rankings.

UNB closes out the regular season with a pair of road games this week. They visit St. Thomas on Wednesday night before traveling to PEI to face the Panthers in the season finale on Friday night. Both games are scheduled for a 7PM puck drop and can be seen live at www.AUStv.ca.
