V-Reds Recognized At Awards Gala

The annual U Sports men's hockey awards gala to honour the best in Canadian university hockey took place last night at the Currie Center and it was a big night for the Varsity Reds. Forward Philippe Maillet was awarded the Senator Joseph A. Sullivan trophy as the national player of the year and defenceman Jordan Murray took home the top defenceman award for a second consecutive season. Both players were also named first team all-Canadians. Defenceman Matt Murphy was also recognized as he placed on the all-rookie team.

Father George Kehoe Memorial Award (Coach of the Year) - Dave Adolph, Saskatchewan
