After scoring 38 goals in his final junior season, Hodgson was expected to play a big part in replacing some of the offense the Varsity Reds have lost since the end of last season. Instead, his departure means UNB is now down to only 19 eligible skaters on their roster. This leaves them with only one extra player, which is a risky move given the number of injuries we have seen teams encounter during the course of the season. Since they are now three players below the roster cap of 22 skaters, it seems likely they will be looking to add some impact players at the Christmas break.
