News and Notes: Captains Named, Shell Article

A pair of notes before the Varsity Reds raise their 7th National Championship banner to the rafters tonight in the home opener against Moncton:

- It was reported earlier today that 5th year forward Dylan Willick has been named team captain. This represents a slight change in philosophy for UNB as all of their previous captains in recent memory (Critchlow, Culligan, Bailey, Friesen) served multiple years in the role. Nonetheless it is an excellent choice given Willick's on-ice and off-ice resume.

- It was also announced that Matt Boudens and Randy Gazzola will serve as alternate captains for the entire season while Colin Suellentrop will be the first of four players that will rotate as the third alternate.

- Former Royal Military College Paladins and University of British Columbia Thunderbirds head coach Adam Shell has joined the CUSN as a contributor. In his first article he discusses the Varsity Reds and the pressure to three-peat.
