Clapperton Picks Up Pair Of Awards

After missing seven games due to post-concussion symptoms, forward Christopher Clapperton made a successful return to the line-up this past weekend and, as a result, has been awarded both the UNB Varsity Reds/Papa John's Pizza male Athlete of the Week and Subway AUS male Athlete of the Week.

Playing in his first game since October 27th, Clapperton recorded a pair of goals and an assist in Friday night's 8-1 victory over the UPEI Panthers. He matched that production the next night in a 5-3 win in Moncton, including scoring what proved to be the game winning goal in the 3rd period.

For the season, the 3rd year veteran has 7 goals and 9 assists in 9 games.

Clapperton and the rest of his Varsity Reds teammates wrap up the first part of the regular season schedule this weekend when they travel to play Saint Mary's and Acadia.
