UNB In The AUS Final

When the University of New Brunswick Reds take the ice on Monday night in the AUS Final, it will mark their 19th appearance in the conference championship since 1984.

Here is how they have fared in those series:

2006 - Lost to Acadia 3 games to 0
2007 - Lost to Moncton 2 games to 0
2008 - Defeated Saint Mary's 2 games to 0
2009 - Lost to Saint Mary's 2 games to 1
2011 - Defeated St. FX 3 games to 2
2012 - Defeated Moncton 3 games to 0
2013 - Defeated Saint Mary's 2 games to 1
2015 - Defeated Acadia 2 games to 0
2016 - Lost to St. FX 2 games to 0
2017 - Lost to St. FX 2 game to 0
2018 - Defeated St. FX 2 games to 0

- UNB will be looking for their 16th AUS Championship. In addition to the 11 mentioned above, they also captured the title in 1934, 1960, 1962, and 1964.

- Only St. FX (26) has won more conference titles in history.

- For the first time, the Reds will be playing in a 5th consecutive final. This will also be their 8th appearance in nine years.

- Since current head coach Gardiner MacDougall took the reigns before the 2000-2001 season, UNB has made the final 13 times in 19 years. They have won seven AUS titles under his watch.
