Exhibition Schedule Released

The University of New Brunswick Reds have announced their 2019 - 2020 exhibition schedule and, for the first time since 2001, it does not feature any pre-season games at the AUC.

The defending University Cup champions will open their schedule on Monday, September 16th with a neutral site game in Truro, Nova Scotia against the 2020 University Cup host Acadia Axemen. This will be the teams first exhibition tilt since 2007 and only the 3rd all-time.

The Reds will then return to Toronto for a second straight year, this time to face the York Lions for games on Thursday, September 19th and Friday, September 20th. This returns the favour as the Lions visited Fredericton for a pair of games in 2016, providing the opposition for the 2016 Pete Kelly Cup.

The Reds regular season schedule gets underway on September 27th and 28th, but they will take a break the following weekend to make their annual trip to the US for games against Boston College on Saturday, October 5th and Maine the following afternoon.

The exhibition schedule wraps up on Sunday, December 29th with a game against the OUA's Windsor Lancers in the 15th edition of the Pete Kelly Cup. The Lancers have previously visited the AUC in September of 2013 and January of 2015, dropping all four games to UNB during those two appearances.
