U Sports Top Ten (#12): Reds Open 2020 On Top

The University of New Brunswick Reds retained their first place position in the first men's hockey rankings of 2020, which were released earlier this week.

UNB (1812.32 ELO points) held on to the top spot after a 2-0-0 weekend. This outpaced the Alberta Golden Bears (1756.19), who suffered a 5-0 loss to the #4 Saskatchewan Huskies (1719.06) on Saturday night. The Toronto Varsity Blues (1738.24) continued their rise up the leader board by moving up to 3rd spot.

The Acadia Axemen (1700.23) moved up a spot to 5th while the Carleton Ravens (1688.83) dropped three positions to 6th.

The rest of the top ten is made up of the McGill Redmen (1640.54), Calgary Dinos (1632.75), Ryerson Rams (1625.69), and Ottawa Gee Gees (1624.28). The Redmen and Rams are back in the rankings while Mount Royal and Windsor have dropped out since the last poll.
