U Sports Top Ten (#17): Regular Season Concludes

The final top ten rankings of the regular season were released yesterday and, once again, the University of New Brunswick Reds hold down the top spot.

The Reds received 1914.51 ELO points to lock down the number one ranking for the 9th consecutive week. The rest of the top four remained unchanged as well with Saskatchewan (1899.32), Carleton (1774.88), and Alberta (1732.61) maintaining their positions.

There was plenty of movement in the lower half of the rankings. Ryerson (1658.91) moved up one spot to 5th, Guelph (1657.57) went from 8th to 6th, and Toronto (1652.32) fell two spots to 7th.

UQTR (1633.32) and Calgary (1616.56) both re-entered the rankings after a one week absence, coming in at 8th and 10th, respectively. The 13-12-3 Laurier Golden Hawks (1625.03) somehow remained in the rankings at 9th.

While the Reds enjoy a first round playoff bye, postseason action gets underway across the country beginning tonight.
