Dove-McFalls Named Captain

Fourth year forward Samuel Dove-McFalls has been named the newest captain of the University of New Brunswick Reds, the team revealed earlier today. The announcement comes on the eve of the 2021-2022 season opener, which goes tomorrow night versus Moncton at the AUC.

Dove-McFalls has established himself as one of the top two-way forwards in the conference during his first two seasons in the red and black. He is arguably the best face-off man in the league, a stalwart on the penalty kill, and increased his offensive output from nine points in his rookie season to 26 in 2019-2020.

Fellow veterans Tyler Boland, Mark Rassell, and Joe Gatenby will serve as the alternate captains this season. Goaltender Rylan Parenteau will also be part of the leadership contingent.
