1 - elementary school kids have received free admission to UNB events for a number of years<br /><br />2 - most of these kids will have at least one paying parent with them at the game, as the promotion offered adult tickets at reduced cost<br /><br />Bottom line - a full house for SMU, and likely a full house on Feb 13.<br /><br />The team is averaging 2400 or so, 1300 below capacity.<br /><br /

I agree with the last post. Why cheapen the promotion? It&#39;s pretty decent UNB would reach out to elementary and middle school kids. Smart too. Look at the fan base in most of the college rinks and they&#39;re older people, alumni and long-time supporters. UNB is cultivating young fans and having them come into the rink and getting exposed to a good brand of hockey. The kids get hooked on guys

And this is precisely why in todays day and age people don&#39;t get involved, no matter what you do you get **** on. You &quot;Sell out&quot;, people complain that those who have been going all year are let down. You give out free tickets to kids so they can attend a game, and that&#39;s a problem. At the end of the day the Aitken Centre will have more visitors this weekend then many AUS teams

Buy your tickets early for February 13th! The school promotion was so successful that they over-sold. A notice came home today that a number of schools will now be attending February 13th game as second wave of the promotion!!!!!

This has been an &quot;off-the-map&quot; successful promotion since they put it into place.<br /><br />It is one of the types of promos that has created the community interest and support that other schools only wish they had.<br /><br />Good for UNB. <br /><br />BTW - you can buy tickets in advance for all game, or get a pass....not anyones&#39; fault but your own mon ami.
